I want a hundred dollars…
Just a quick set of numbers here. Consider the million dollars to be made; let’s assume that we’re talking about 10 years time. That means about $100,000 per year without any reinvestment returns; around $70,000 a year with reasonable returns.
With about 2 hours a day available, about 300 days in the year (allowing for holidays, travel and other occasions when you may not be able to use the spare time for any earning), that’s around $120 per hour. I’m yet to come across any part-time activity that pays off at this rate.
To hit that rate, any earning proposition can’t be time and effort based; I’d need to leverage either money or other people’s effort. And that isn’t going to be easy either; at any rate, that’s not something I can consider for day one.
So the starting point is to set up some kind of income stream that can earn around the clock, without needing me to be there all the time; a net based option. Which requires a domain, hosting etc. - while I could try one of the free options like blogger, those aren’t exactly brandable. And rather than start something else, and redo it over later, I’m looking to start off right.
All that remains, is to make the $100.

If you find out a way to (passively) make $100/hour, please do be sure to let me know. I am all ears.
