Value Sense.

Measuring value is personal, not objective. Emotion, not reason, is the key.

Don’t believe me? Let’s start with a burger. “Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese - pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun”.  Would you pay $5000 for one?

Or maybe scale it down a little - how about $50? To quote from the article :

Years from now, sociologists will have a field day with the burger madness gripping New York this winter. The frenzy began a week ago, when, despite a tumbling economy, the Old Homestead steakhouse slapped a $41 Kobe beef burger on its menu.A day after the burger was introduced, 180 New Yorkers coughed up the cash to try it.

Or, consider this BBC report - a home in California, made from parts of a Boeing 747 Jumbo jet. Price tag : a few million dollars.

Or, better still.

Popcorn at the movies : 3 times the price, or more. Blogging it : Priceless.
