In passing

Came across a couple of quotes relating to money that caught my attention.

Modern man drives a mortgaged car over a bond-financed highway on credit-card gas.

That’s true, and illustrates how pervasive credit has become in daily life. But more important - it doesn’t distinguish between the “good and bad debt”.

The other was in lighter vein

A budget tells us what we can’t afford, but it doesn’t keep us from buying it.

I was reminded of Jesse.
